Thanks for checking the place out. When I first built this site I had hoped to hit a few trails a week, all summer long… just like I did last year. Ahh the good ol’ days. Unfortunately that wasn’t quite in the cards this summer. But fear not, the site will continue to be worked on! As I get a chance I’ll be uploading more guides. And if you have any good spots you think should be on here, feel free to drop a line.

So, I’m just learning about Longboarding & wanting to get into it. I live in KC & I’m not sure of anywhere that has Longboards. I really can’t afford anything expensive ($70+), but I was just wondering if you could point me in the right direction with this.

There’s a couple of skate shops you can check out… Ride 4 Ever Sports in Lenexa & Daredevil Skateboards in Mission. Last I checked though there stuff was pretty pricey.
I would search craigslist.com, & you might check out this new local KC company that launched a reverse craigslist recently, zaarly.com. You post what you’re looking for, & how much you’re willing to pay, & if someone has it the site hooks you guys up. It’s worth checking out too.
Hey I live in Lee’s Summit and been looking for some people to ride with. So you can email me or add me on Facebook @ NadRojLongboarding. Longboarding can get pretty expensive so I suggest getting a cheap on on like craiglist and then save up for a nice one. You can get a really good brand new for around 250. Look on Daddiesboardshop.com Original and loaded are really good companies. Do not Get Original Trucks go with Randal 180mm or Paris 180mm. Make sure you look around before you buy one. If you want to cruise and no sliding and kickflips like that go with a pintail(Original Longboard has nice pintail). If you want to do downhills and Sliding there is plenty to choose from Original Freeride, Loaded Tan Tien, Bustin has some good boards.
